Again, try your best to read what I say so I don't have to keep explaining simple concepts. I'm not above people intellectually, but it gets tiresome when people are clearly not even reading what I'm saying. There is no other way to explain me writing "Wiccans dislike Crowley" and have someone interpret it as "Wiccans idolize Crowley."

The Stake is a more pagan symbol than the Cross
by jwfacts ini just found an interesting sumerian myth that i wanted to share.
the watchtower claims that the cross was not used by true christians and is of pagan origins.
(watchtower 1989 may 1 p.26 it reveres a pagan symbol masquerading as christian.

Yes. The golden calf thing is very misunderstood. It wasn't a new god, it was a new representation. The scripture even says that they engraved it with the name YHWH.

As someone who at one point was taking Egyptology as a major, and who was a Kemetic Pagan, I can say a lot of that has nothing to do with Asar(Osiris) whatsoever and I have no clue where they got it from. His mother was a human? wtf?

the cross is never specifically addressed as a pagan symbol in the Bible. But upright poles of wood are. Why make such a big deal of pagan origin of the one the Bible never specifically mentions one way or the other as being a pagan symbol?
Because JW's don't go around with poles tied around their necks.

Yeah, the Old Testament mentions "cutting down their sacred poles."
Anyway, the Cross is definately a pagan symbol. A stake is pretty generic; I mean, it's a straight line. You could find anything and say it's a comparison to that.
Look, the scroll bar on my window here is in the form of a stake. What about vampires?
VAMPIRE HUNTER J
Seriously though, the Bible has Pagan origins. You can say stake or cross but it all has the same origin. Odin was lashed to a tree after being cut with a spear, I mean you can sit and make comparisons like this all day. Jesus was crucified on a mound. Why a mound? Any relation to the sacrifices people used to make to various mother goddesses... on mounds? Relation to the mound of creation found in various myths?
I could write a whole essay about Jesus' death being a blood sacrifice to the earth mother on the mound of creation, etc, but I won't. At least not right now.

It's referring to Santa Claus. He has a long white beard, he comes on the clouds. He died(as Kris Kringle) and was reborn(as Santa Claus).
The evidence is quite unmistakable.

Some of it may be coincidence. Some of what I've seen looks like a REAL stretch. Some, to my mind at least, are clearly intentional. Some are just too contrived. The picture of the ram on the table is too clear to be accidental. One of the images, where there is a robe, and the cloth on their arm forms the letters JAH, are also a little too contrived for me to believe it's random. Especially since, as is often pointed out with that image, everything in the painting is very realistic, yet in that ONE instance, they throw realism away, because cloth doesn't hang that way. It was actually hanging upwards, defying anything logical. Why would this ONE part of the picture suddenly be unrealistic and happen to form those letters? The fact that that JAH thing can be seen in other images seems to tell me it's not coincidental, either. The idea that those letters could appear unrealistically(in another image, it was in someone's hand - again, this totally unrealistic detail in a realistic painting) in more than one image just seems like too much to be a coincidence.
One of the images seen at one of the subliminal images sites was one I sent in, by the way. It could very likely be coincidence though, since it was a cloud formation, and clouds look weird. Real clouds can look like things, and so can painted ones. I sent it in anyway though, for fun.

Sudden family interest in our reasons why we are no longer JW's ...
by Curious Mind ini'm curious, just recently it seems that our family are intent on 'reasoning' or 'finding out' why we are no longer interested in being a jw.
what seems strange is how we have been approached by relatives here and overseas with such a small time frame - which leads us to believe that there must be some impetous for this suddent 'interest' in us and our choice, which we made over 10 years ago ... is it just us or does anyone out there know something, we suspect that something was raised at the recent district conventions, perhaps 'new light'!
we are tempted to let them know the full reasons, but (ofcourse) we fear that this will lead to an allegaton of apostacy and our df'g... .

Nobody asked me why either, but I was 14 or 15. I'm sure they all just chattered that I was a kid and I was lured away by the worldly life. Despite the fact that I never really went out and acted in a worldly way(I've only had sex with one person, and I married her, I never went out and got drunk, went to parties, etc... I've always been very isolated and stayed to myself). Regardless, I'm sure that is how they explain it to each other. In all honesty though, I doubt I ever even got discussed enough. I was never really hit with the impression that any of them cared enough to bother wondering why I left.

I'm into conspiracies, as evidenced by my website. However, I don't think those pics mean anything. Yeah, I believe there is a secret government that controls things. Sometimes, though, coincidences happen. As was stated, the WTC was a big deal and they drew it with a plane overhead. I wouldn't read anything more into it than that. It's like saying you can fold a dollar bill a certain way and make two buildings appear to explode or whatever. I'm sure you can fold it all sorts of ways and make different images, but I really don't believe for a second they designed the dollar bill to make an image of a disaster that would happen in 50 years when folded a special way. That's a reach.
